Friendly staff made the stay enjoyable, especially at the poolside bar. The parking fees are really high, though.

The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The complimentary water and daily towel changes are a nice touch that kept me refreshed and cozy.
A microwave in the room would have been great.

Clean hotel, friendly staff with attentive service from Keith at the Concierge desk and Sarah in the restaurant who always greeted us with a smile and made our stay enjoyable.
Didn’t dislike anything about the property.

The pool area is really nice with great poolside service and delicious food. The rooms are pretty outdated and feel small. Parking costs around $50 a night. Staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them.

Good breakfast, exceptional service. The à la carte menu featured fresh, beautifully presented dishes. Staff at every level were friendly and welcoming—especially notable were Keith at concierge and Sarah in the restaurant. The spacious room provided a lovely balcony view, which was a highlight. the hotel shows signs of age. The shower was cramped, and the cleanliness standards fell short, notably with a cockroach incident. The pool was closed during a heat wave, and room service lacked efficiency. Key issues persisted, and maintenance suffered in some areas. If attention to cleanliness and management of facilities improved, this place could shine. For now, it’s a hit or miss experience.

I was so frustrated when I realized my room hadn’t been cleaned during my two-night stay. Dirty towels piled up, and no one came to tidy up. I expected at least basic service, but it felt neglected and unwelcoming.

The beds were small, making it challenging for my tall family members to sleep comfortably. The bathroom had outdated features, including a noisy toilet that might catch you off guard. Room temperature control was adequate, ensuring a pleasant environment. While the decor was kitschy, it added a unique character to the space. Noise levels varied; some hallway sounds occasionally interrupted our rest. I appreciated that towels were replaced daily. Wi-Fi was inconsistent, leading to occasional frustrations. Despite these quirks, the location and amenities nearby made the stay enjoyable overall.

The staff were super friendly and made the stay enjoyable. Plus, the location is unbeatable, close to all the government buildings and museums. Not forgetting the delicious breakfast at the on-site restaurant!
The room was old-looking with a disappointing shower and low water pressure. The bed was average, and the cleanliness of the sheets left much to be desired.

The pool was great for cooling off after long walks. The staff was super helpful and friendly, fixing our booking issue like pros.
It wasn't inexpensive, but still okay given the amenities.

We had a balcony room, which was so cool! Perfect for hanging out in the evenings. The pool was big and refreshing after a day of sightseeing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food portions were good and tasty. The location was ideal - just a few blocks from the Metro for easy transportation. Also, shops nearby for snacks and drinks.
The shower setup was a bit odd, with a narrow space and an elevated shower floor, making it tricky to relax fully. The shower handle placement was inconvenient.

Perfectly situated, the location offered easy access to the White House and great restaurants, making our adventures convenient. Treasure at check-in was a gem, guiding us with helpful tips that enhanced our stay. The room was spacious, but the décor felt dated. Poolside chairs were lacking, which was disappointing, especially with quite a few guests smoking there. Cleanliness was hit or miss; we encountered unclean towels and a hair in the bedding on different days. Fast elevators and decent service helped balance the experience, but a few improvements could really elevate it further.

I absolutely loved how everything I wanted to see was just a short stroll away, with the White House only about 1.8 km and several fantastic restaurants like 10 Thomas just a few steps from my room, plus the staff was super friendly and the pool provided a relaxing way to unwind after my adventures, but I did notice that the balcony shades were a bit heavy and could be improved to allow more natural light in.

I appreciated the warmth and helpfulness of the desk staff at Washington Plaza Hotel. They accommodated my request for a quiet room with a lovely balcony. The reasonable prices for meals and overall charming ambiance made my visit enjoyable, despite some minor drawbacks.

Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location was fantastic! It was super convenient for me as I work remotely and needed to be close to the K Street business district. Plus, being within walking distance of the White House and the Mall was a big bonus. The pool area was beautiful, and I really enjoyed spending some downtime there. On the downside, there were a few issues that detracted from my stay. The coffee maker in the room was a bit dirty, so I couldn't make a hot drink like I had hoped. the ice machine in the lobby wasn't working, and the A/C unit in the room was quite loud, making it hard to control the room temperature. One major letdown was the lack of helpfulness from the staff. I had an awkward situation with a late checkout request, and the staff wasn't very accommodating. the room itself felt a bit cramped and dark, not quite living up to the deluxe description. while there were some positive aspects like the location and pool area, there were definitely some areas that could be improved, such as room cleanliness and staff attentiveness. I hope this review helps you get a better sense of what to expect at Washington Plaza!

I enjoyed feeling like a fancy pants sipping cocktails in the elegant lounge, surrounded by dressed-up folks. The swimming pool had killer views! I loved the spacious King Suite.

We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary upgraded to a king size room. Also, the location is excellent, close to a metro station. The staff were amazing - very helpful and attentive. We plan on going back and will definitely stay at this hotel again. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.

We hit up the awesome music venues downtown and then chowed down at the rad restaurants nearby. The hotel's spot was primo for our party crew, close to all the excitement - perfect for our fun-loving vibe!
Just wish they had a cooler rooftop hangout spot for us young peeps to continue the party late into the night! .

Our family had a blast exploring the vibrant downtown DC scene just steps away from the hotel.
My wife says that more kid-friendly activities would be great.

plaza's location is perfect! walking distance to the white house and right in the downtown area with bars, restaurants, and stores. the outside pool is small, but well kept, and the staff is friendly and helpful. the room on a higher floor had a gorgeous view of the city, and the a/c worked so well that I had to turn it off. the staff was friendly, and the room was clean and smelled good. the lobby is lovely with wonderful, friendly and courteous staff.
It was all superb 😊

The Washington Plaza Hotel provided a comfortable stay during my time in Washington. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The location of the hotel was superb, with only a 10-minute walk to the White House. There were plenty of good restaurants within a 5-minute walk, making it convenient for breakfast and dinner. The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
That the front desk staff was not as helpful or professional as one would expect in a 4-star hotel. It was particularly frustrating when my credit card had an issue, and the hotel was unable to assist in resolving it or even allow me to check-in or take my bags to the room.
Good
